Who's Who at Moorcroft?

At Moorcroft the staff do not just consist of teachers.  There are all sorts of people who provide for the needs of the students.  This page gives you a glimpse of what they do.

Joy Nuthall

Joy is the headteacher of our school.  You should contact her if you wish to visit.

Liz Forshaw

Liz is the Deputy Head, she is responsible for staff cover, induction, staff development, the curriculum and many other things.

Liz D

Liz is a Higher Level Learning Support Assistant, she supports teachers in the classroom and also provides for the welfare of the students.  Liz is responsible for training and induction of new classroom assistants.  She is also a member of the school leadership team.

Minna

Minna is our resident Music Therapist.  She works at Moorcroft 3 days a week.  Any student can be referred for Music Therapy.  If you have a child at school and are interested in Music Therapy, please contact your child's class teacher who will fill in a referral form.  Minna is currently on maternity leave.

Tracy

Tracy is responsible for preparing the meals for students and staff.  Many of our students have special diets and may suffer from allergies so Tracy has to be really careful that each student gets the right meal.  She know all the students really well and when they come to get their dinner she know straight away what to give them.  She has also provided some delicious meals for special occasions.  The meals at Moorcroft are very healthy.  We only have chips once a week and there is a choice of hot food or salad.  Marion helps Tracy out in the kitchen.

Martin

Martin is the school premises manager.  He is responsible for looking after the school buildings and grounds.  Martin comes in very early in the morning to unlock the school as the teachers are really eager to get here and start work.  He looks after the minibuses, the playground and the boilers and is very good and fixing things that are broke.  Martin is supported by his assistant John and our excellent team of cleaners.

As part of our multidisciplinary team we also have a drama therapist, a team of speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and an occupational therapist.
