Welcome Moorcroft is a special school for students with severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties, and autistic spectrum disorders. We are based in the London Borough of Hillingdon. We cater for students aged 11-19, with a wide variety of needs. We pride ourselves in high standards and received an outstanding Ofsted report at our last inspection. You can read our report by clicking here. You will need a copy Adobe Acrobat reader, click to download. Our school building was custom built nearly 11 years ago and is next door to a local primary and a secondary school. In Key Stages 3 and 4 we follow the National Curriculum, specially adapted to the needs of our students. In Key Stage 5, students follow the nationally accredited Asdan course.
We have a dedicated multidisciplinary team consisting of teachers, learning support assistants and therapists. You can read about some of the team in our Who's Who section.
We would like to share with you some things we believe makes us successful, together with ideas that you may find useful. And if you can't find it here try our links page. There are a number of games that you can play online. We have tried to make it easier for students to navigate the site by including symbols and photographs. Students can move around by clicking on photos or symbols with a mouse. However, if you have access to touch screens, touching the pictures will also take you to another page. You might also like to try using a switch. If you are a special school we want to hear from you, if you have any ideas you think we may find useful let us know and we will try to add them to our pages. There is also a special area for parents that provides more information about how you can provide for your child at Moorcroft. If you are not involved in special education we hope that a few moments browsing our pages might make you better informed about children with special needs.
